Frequently asked questions

• How does the hosting work?

  When you hire one of our hosts we’ll work with you to get the event scheduled. We use Zoom to facilitate event communication and our own trivia software to host the game. Once the time is set, just provide your attendees with our Zoom meeting room and we’ll handle the rest.

• Is there a limit to how many people can play?

  No. We have designed packages that cater to the size of the audience you are serving. Please check out our vendor page to see more options!

• What do I need to provide?

  All you need to do is send your attendees our Zoom meeting link and we’ll handle everything from there. If you want to pre-create your teams, you’ll need to take a few extra steps.

• How do you prevent players from cheating?

  We let players know at the start of each event that they should not cheat and are on the honor system while playing. We find that players are participating for the fun and respect that request.

• Can I play without teams?

  Yes. We can facilitate team-based games or individual play.

• Can I add more time?

  You can add more time for $49 for an extra 30 minutes of social time (host hands the meeting over once our game is over so you can use your time privately), or $99 for 30 more minutes of hosted event time (either for game or content agenda plans).

• Can I customize the event to include my branding, content agenda and custom questions?

  Absolutely! You can customize the event for an additional $199 which would include a 30 minute advance planning session, content agenda support, platform branding and custom questions.

• Can I predetermine teams?

  Yes, however we recommend going with randomized teams!

  If you would like us to assign players to pre-defined teams, please let us know at the time of booking or add a note to your booking once it has been approved. You will then receive our Team List Template in the Elevent chat.

  Team lists must be submitted no later than 24 hours before your event.

  When creating teams, assign each team a number (Team 1, Team 2, etc.). We recommend teams of 5–8 players where possible.

  Your completed team list should include each participant's first and last name along with their assigned team number.

  It is the organizer's responsibility to provide the following instructions to all players prior to the event:

  Display Name Format

  Using the team number assigned by the organizer, players must rename themselves upon joining the Zoom link using the following format:

  Team Number – Full Name

  Example: 1 – John Smith

  How to Rename in Zoom

  Desktop/Laptop:

  After joining the meeting, hover over your tile, click the three dots in the upper-right corner, select Rename, and update your name using the format above.

  Mobile/Tablet:

  Tap Participants, select your name, then tap Rename and update your name using the format above.

  Please note: We can accommodate "surprise" pre-defined teams (where team assignments are not shared with players in advance) for groups of 20 players or fewer.
