• How does a virtual escape room work?

  

  There are two variations of virtual escape rooms. The first type is similar to the in-person version. The experience is hosted through a video platform and the group controls a “field agent” in real-time, directing the agent to complete the challenges instead of doing it themselves. The second variation is a fully virtual experience where the individuals are completing challenges on a virtual platform to solve the escape room. The fully virtual experience can accommodate larger groups.

• How long does it take to do a virtual escape room?

  

  Our escape rooms range from 30 minutes to 90 minutes, but most are designed for 60 minutes. The individual teams usually complete the challenges in the allotted time. Virtual escape rooms are very family-friendly so feel free to have your team invite their family and friends to play along.

• How much do virtual escape rooms cost?

  

  There are a variety of escape room prices. Some events are a flat rate while others are priced per person. Our escape rooms generally range from $20 a person to $50 a person.

• Wy are escape rooms good for team building?

  

  Escape rooms force real collaboration: no one person can solve every puzzle, so teams must share information, divide tasks, listen to each other and make decisions under time pressure. Different people naturally lead at different moments, which makes escape rooms one of the most popular team building formats on Elevent for both new and established teams.

• What are some tips to be successful in your escape room?

  

  Here are some tips that can help you complete your escape room successfully:

  1) Communication with your group is everything. Make sure you are communicating effectively.

  2) Ask your game guide to search the whole room at the beginning of the game.

  3) Make sure to ask the Game guide for clues. They won’t answer directly but will probably hint at a possible solution.

  4) Make sure you have a pen and paper to help solve riddles, puzzles, and clues.

  5) Make sure your technology setup is ideal. This includes having the video conferencing software downloaded before the game, potentially having two monitors and a laptop or desktop computer is a must.

  Each virtual escape room will have its own set of challenges but they are usually a series of puzzles that incorporate situations where you have too much information, too little information, or red herrings.  Many of the puzzles include numbers, codes, clocks, dates, or directional locks.  Nothing in an escape room is put there by accident so analyze everything thoughtfully.
