Virtual Trivia for Teams

Virtual Trivia FAQs

• What virtual trivia events are available for teams?

Elevent has 130+ virtual trivia events covering general knowledge, pop culture, film, music, travel, sports, office TV shows, and dedicated heritage and DEI formats. General options include Trivia with a Twist, Team Trivia, Trivia Trial, and Big Quiz of Utter Nonsense. Themed formats include Movie Mania Trivia, Hollywood Game Show Extravaganza, Song Showdown, The Office Olympics, and a Fun Travel Quiz hosted by a professional travel writer. Heritage month formats include Black History, Women's History, AAPI Heritage, Hispanic Heritage, Juneteenth, and LGBTQIA+ Pride trivia. All are live-hosted and run on your preferred video platform for groups of 10–1,000 and are great for team bulding.

• How do I choose the right trivia format for my team?

Three questions narrow it down quickly. First — does your team have a shared interest? If yes, pick a themed format (film, music, travel, sports). If not, stick with general knowledge formats like Team Trivia or Trivia with a Twist where nobody has an unfair advantage. Second — is this for a specific occasion or cultural moment? Heritage month formats like Black History Trivia or AAPI Heritage Trivia work well as standalone DEI programming — browse the DEI collection for the full range. Third — what's your budget? Trivia Trial starts from $15/person for up to 600 people. Most formats run $20–$34/person. Several heritage formats are available at flat rate per group pricing regardless of headcount.

• What DEI trivia events are available for corporate teams?

Elevent has dedicated trivia formats for every major heritage month and cultural moment. Black History Trivia celebrates the contributions and achievements of Black Americans. Women's History Trivia highlights influential women who have shaped history. AAPI Heritage Trivia covers the culture and achievements of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Hispanic Heritage Trivia celebrates Hispanic culture and history. Juneteenth events mark the significance of emancipation and Black freedom. LGBTQIA+ Pride Trivia and the Pride Month Gay-me Show celebrate queer culture, history, and impact. Browse the full DEI collection at Elevent for all formats including Bring Your Child to Work and Intern Day events.

• How much does virtual trivia cost for teams?

Virtual trivia on Elevent starts from $10 per person — making it one of the most affordable live-hosted team building formats available. Most formats run $15–$34 per person. Trivia Trial is $15/person for 15–600 people. Trivia with a Twist is $22/person. Movie Mania Trivia is $34/person for up to 1,000 people. Several heritage formats are available at flat rate per group pricing. The Big Quiz of Utter Nonsense runs $600 flat rate plus $20 per person. Reserve your date and pay to confirm — most events offer instant book with headcount adjustable up to a certain time before the event.

• What trivia formats work best for large groups of 100+ people?

Team Trivia, Movie Mania Trivia, The Office Olympics, and Rock Star Party & Games all accommodate up to 1,000 people using parallel team mechanics — groups of 4–8 compete simultaneously with a live leaderboard tracking results across the full event. Trivia Trial accommodates up to 600 people at $15/person — the most cost-effective large-group option. For very large groups of 200+, Elevent's concierge team can help coordinate the right format and logistics.

• What's the difference between virtual trivia and a game show?

Trivia is question-and-answer based — teams compete across themed rounds, a host keeps score, and the winning team is crowned at the end. It's competitive but relatively straightforward. Game shows use a more theatrical format inspired by TV — buzzer mechanics, elimination rounds, dramatic reveals, and a stronger performance element from the host. Several Elevent formats sit at the intersection of both: Hollywood Game Show Extravaganza, Song Showdown, and Silver Screen Showdown use trivia-style questions within a full game show production. If your team wants the competitive energy of trivia but with more entertainment spectacle, browse the game shows collection.

• Can we get private or custom trivia for our company?

Yes. Every Elevent trivia event is a private session for your group only. Many hosts can add custom rounds with questions about your company, team or industry.  Mention it when you book, or ask the host through the Elevent portal. Team Trivia and Trivia with a Twist both offer customer question. For fully custom corporate trivia for large events, our concierge team can help.

• Can we hire a professional trivia host for a virtual event?

Every trivia event on Elevent includes a professional host who runs the game, keeps score and manages breakout rooms, so nobody on your team has to emcee. Hosts work across time zones, and many support groups of up to 1,000.
